Still from Little Stars of Bethlehem

Little Stars Of Bethlehem

Narrated by Stephen Fry

Perhaps it was a Shepherd trumping through ‘Silent Night’, Archangel Gabriel picking his nose and wiping it on the Wise Men or a Tiny Tears named Jesus, wetting itself on Mary.

We have our own memories of the Nativity play.  Most of us have been there.

In Broomhill Infant School, not everyone can be Mary, there are only three Kings, and no one wants to be the donkey.  The angels get to wear wings (better than a tea towel on the head) but the aliens – yes, aliens - have more lines.

And everything that can go wrong WILL go wrong.  It always does.

A film that captures childhood at Christmas, Little Stars of Bethlehem marks the feature directorial debut of Adam Coop.
